Bedford United Methodist Church
Historical Committee

The purpose of the Historical Committee is to provide for the preservation of all records and historical materials of the church and promote interest in the history and heritage of the United Methodist Church and of our own congregation.

Ministry activities include: the acquisition/restoration of pictures, certificates, and other items; and the display of them in suitable areas. The committee meets when a need arises. It usually meets in the late afternoon in the Pastor's office. The display of some of the artifacts is in the cupboards in the hallway behind the sanctuary. Pictures of most of the former pastors are hanging on the walls in the same hallway. The drawer of the larger cupboard has some pictures and records stored in it. The Annual Conference reports from 1868 are in the smaller cupboard.

If you have any information about the church's history we would appreciate hearing from you.
