Youth Fellowship is in Gear!!

That’s right!!

   Youth fellowship is meeting weekly on Sunday afternoons from 3:00 - 5:00 in the Youth Room.      

    Haven't ever been to a Youth Fellowship meeting?? We meet for "regular meetings" in the Youth Room (third floor of the educational building).       

     Our first regular meeting in the Youth room this past fall was September 23, 2007.  We discussed the origin of what has become our Youth mission statement, “Love God! Love each other! Have fun!”   (see below)

     From there our weekly discussions centered on the promises of God, which led to our current discussions on prayer.

Love God! Love Each Other! Have Fun!

      Every time we meet, through the love of our Lord Jesus Christ ( LOVE GOD!) we uphold, strengthen, and encourage our fellow youth ( LOVE EACH OTHER! ) we strive to grow stronger in our commitment to Christ. We sing, play, talk, listen, eat, laugh, learn, and pray ( HAVE FUN!) as we strive to love and serve our Lord with a deeper commitment.

AN OPEN INVITATION ! !

Youth leaders Rick and Kathy Brazelle, assisted by Dennis Murphy and Paul Kendall, (and of course all our Youth!), invite ALL YOUTH IN MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL to Youth Fellowship.

A "typical" Youth meeting at Bedford United Methodist Youth (BUM Youth) includes some time to socialize and fellowship . The atmosphere is casual during this part of the meeting, with youth given the opportunity to just "hang out" with others.

Each week we have discussion/devotion time, games, live music, and snacks. We close our meetings with offering our praises, concerns, and requests to our Lord in prayer.

Each month we are involved in at least one service project.

Our goal is to gather together as Christians for fellowship, study, worship, and service to God in our community, and to support and encourage each other in love as we grow in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

We strive to love youth, encourage them in developing their relationship with God, provide them with opportunities for nurture and growth, and to challenge them to respond to God’s call to serve.

Through the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the encouragement of fellow Christian Youth, we strive to grow stronger in our commitment to Christ. We also strive to serve our Lord with a deeper commitment to the work of the church in the world. With the encouragement of fellow believers, each week we grow to become people whose lives are committed to being the body of Jesus Christ.
