The Prayer Room and the Prayer Chain are two aspects of the Prayer Ministry at the Bedford United Methodist Church. The Prayer Room, located behind the sanctuary, is set aside to offer privacy or refuge in prayer. It is staffed during the second service on Sundays to offer assistance for anyone desiring prayer. Outside of that time, anyone needing prayer may call 623-5324 or 623-8711. The Prayer Room is anointed weekly, as is the sanctuary, to set it apart as holy unto God. Matthew 18:19-"Again, I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." I John 5:14, 15--"And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him."

The Prayer Chain is available to anyone who needs prayer. To activate the four chains, simply phone the church office at 623-8711 and tell Jan the request, or call 623-5324. There are about 30 families participating on the chains who will be covering you in prayer. John Wesley said, "God does nothing on earth save in answer to prayer." The intercessors pray in faith and believe for the answer to each prayer request.
