The Lord’s Table Sunday School Class

The Lord’s Table adult Sunday School Class meets for one hour every Sunday at 10:50am in the Adult Daycare Services room (located behind Wesley Chapel).  With a membership of 25-28, and an average attendance of 18-22, discussion is lively.  This class uses the Bible as the foundation, supplemented with videos and many other resources.  Class opens with prayer requests and praises.  Our teacher-moderator, with his extensive Biblical background, resources, and rich experiences, guides the studies and discussions.  Selected by the group, topics have included a variety of areas, such as Paul’s letters to the churches, the book of Hebrews, a comparison of world religions to Christianity, and the Bible books of the Old Testament prophets.  We are currently studying the Old and New Testaments in an in-depth discussion of “Jesus: Past, Present, and Future”.  Our “social committee” promotes continuing Christian fellowship by occassionally arranging get-togethers and meals at restaurants, sending greeting cards to class members as needed, and maintaining a membership listing with up-to-date contact data.  Bring your Bible and come study, learn, grow, and fellowship with us at The Lord’s Table!

Give instruction to a wise man,
and he will be still wiser;
Teach a just man,
and he will increase in learning.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One
is understanding.
Proverbs 9:9-10 (NKJV)

Remember not the sins (the lapses and frailties)
of my youth or my transgressions;
according to Your mercy and steadfast love remember me,
for Your goodness' sake, O Lord.
Good and upright is the Lord;

therefore will He instruct sinners in [His] way.
He leads the humble in what is right,
and the humble He teaches His way.
Psalm 25:7-9 (AMP)
